Brian Atukwatse is an experienced Environmental Management Specialist and Project Manager with expertise in environmental conservation, environmental and social impact assessment, environmental compliance auditing, occupational health and safety, hydrological assessments, watershed management, and climate change analysis. With a multidisciplinary background in environmental management and project planning, Brian brings practical experience in supporting organisations, businesses, government institutions, and development projects to meet environmental, health, safety, and sustainability requirements. His expertise also extends to GIS mapping, remote sensing, land use and land cover assessment, ambient air quality and noise assessments, flood modelling, and the development of environmental management plans. Brian holds a Master of Science in Environment Management, specialising in Hydrology and Land Use/Land Cover Change Assessments, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Education. He has also undertaken postgraduate training in Project Planning and Management and Environmental and Social Impact Assessments. Throughout his career, Brian has worked on a wide range of environmental assignments across Uganda, including Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, Environmental Health and Safety Compliance Audits, biodiversity risk assessments, hydrological studies, and environmental management planning for infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, agriculture, real estate, transport, and industrial development projects. His experience includes assignments involving organisations and projects such as Kakira Sugar Limited, UNDP, MAAIF, Luuka Plastics, Uganda Clays, Lira University, APM Terminals, AFEX Commodities, China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Company, and several other public and private sector clients. Brian is committed to delivering practical, reliable, and sustainable solutions that help organisations manage environmental risks, maintain compliance, improve operational practices, and support responsible development. His approach combines technical expertise, analytical thinking, project management, and a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and long-term impact.
